Big Cats Announce Club Coaches for 2016/17 Season

COACHES 1617 SEASON

The Springvale Lions Baseball Club are excited to announce our Club Coaches for season 2016/17.  Long time player Myles Barnden will be taking the reigns as Men’s Club Coach, and is excited for the challenge that lies ahead.

“It is an exciting time for the club with so many great young kids around the place.  I’m looking forward to working with the boys, including our older players, and help the club move forward in Division One”, said Myles when asked about his appointment.

Myles will be assisted by four other Big Cats as he heads up the Men’s Program – Lucas Price, Glenn Mascoll, Michael Crooks and Chris Maurer.  On behalf of the club we would like to congratulate all five of the boys, the committee know that the club is in good hands.

On the women’s side, Shae Lillywhite will once again be in charge of the Women’s Program.  This will be her third season as the Women’s Club Coach, after two successful seasons leading the girls to Division One Premiership success – and more importantly, good growth and development amongst all three women’s teams.

More men’s and women’s coaches are to be confirmed over the coming weeks and months.  Please stay tuned for an announcement confirming junior coaching staff for the coming season – this information will be made available next week!

The club would like to thank outgoing coach Scott Wearne for his commitment over three years, including a Division Two Premiership, and helping the club make its way back into Division One.  We wish you all the best in your new life up in Sydney and hope you enjoy swinging tin bats!
