The Springvale Lions Baseball Club are proud to be hosting their first ever ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Day’ on Saturday February 13th 2016. In a bid to continue raising awareness and much needed funds, the Big Cats will be dedicating their final home round of women’s games to a great cause.
In a bid to assist in the fundraising effort, the club has organised ‘limited edition’ pink Springvale hats, with all profits donated directly to the McGrath Foundation. The McGrath Foundation raises money to help place McGrath breast care nurses in communities right across Australia, as well as increasing breast cancer awareness in young Australian women. For further information on the great things the McGrath Foundation are doing, please go to their website:
If you would like to support the day, please turn up on Saturday 13th from 1pm onwards and join in the day by purchasing your own pink hat, buying raffle tickets, help with our sausage sizzle, or take part in some way in helping us raise money. Anyone who cannot make it to the event is more than welcome to donate money via eft into the club account, please ensure you leave your surname and McGrath as a reference.
