The Springvale Lions Baseball Club are proud to announce that we have had 9 junior players selected onto Victorian State Teams to compete at the National Championships in January 2016.

Congratulations to the following players:

U16 Blue – Liam Madden

U18 Blue – Steve Hughes & Jayson Arthur

U18 White – Matt Stenhouse (pulled out), Rydge Hogan & Andy DiGiovambattista

U16 Girls – Hanami Campitelli, Lili Cavanagh, Maddi Singleton & Gabby Bevan

We also say well done to all of the other Big Cats player who trialled for Victorian teams this year but were unsuccessful in being selected.  It is a great experience to go through the trial process, and we have no doubt that the opportunity to train and work out in that environment will help as you continue your development.

The club wishes all of the kids good luck as they spend the next month or so training hard in preparation for their respective tournaments.

Although it is an honour to represent your state, it also comes at quite a hefty financial commitment from parents.  Therefore, Life Member Rob Hogan is once again carrying out a $1000 draw at the club to help assist each junior player financially.  The $1000 draw will be held at the club on Sunday 20th December from 2.00pm onwards.

Tickets are only $20 each, and are available from Hoges, Higgo, Mandi or anyone else on the committee.  Please get behind our young Lions and purchase a ticket or two – what a great Christmas present it would be to win $1000!

Please call Hoges if you are looking for tickets, can provide some giveaways for the day, or for more information on the event – 0438 649 901.
