“ Jacinda Barclay 1991-2020 “
Springvale would like to send our sincerest condolences to Jacinda Barclay and her family after hearing of the terrible news of her passing on Tuesday. It has been heartbreaking time for all that knew her.
She was a part of the Springvale/Berwick Women’s team in 2010-11 that went on to win the Division 1 premiership and a big part of the Australian Emeralds Team where she appeared at 5 World Cup tournaments.
She was a talented athlete, loyal teammate, a warrior who inspired so many. A true individual that brought people together and built deep connections with all that knew her.
A fierce competitor on any field. A quarterback in the Legends Football League and more recently the AFLW GWS Giants organisation.
Her bubbly, loving, positive, confident personality will be greatly missed. The baseball community has lost a wonderful ambassador, a legend of our game and an advocate for women’s sport.
She will be remembered for the incredible memories she gave us and all the laughs that were shared.
Rest in Peace Jacinda, we love you and will never forget you”
